Fairbanks Alaska: The Golden Heart City

The dauntless riders, Kurt and Rich have finally arrived in Fairbanks AK. I'm sure they are looking forward to a warm shower, cold beer, and a steak.
They arrive to enjoy temperatures in the high 50s and low 60s (I'm sure the locals are in shorts and t-shirts) and clear skies. Sunrise is at 4:32am and sunset at 11:00pm.

Their arrival in Fairbanks places them 575 miles south of Prudhoe Bay, Deadhorse, AK.
The weather in Prudhoe Bay as of 00:08 is just lovely...

Welcome To Alaska

GPS Tracking

Its with great pleasure that I announce their arrival at the Alaska border. This occured at 1614hrs EDT (4:14pm Eastern Daylight Time for the uninitiated) I will update this blog entry with photos as soon as they come in...

I spoke with Kurt while they stopped in Tok for food, he advised me that they would be pressing on to Fairbanks this evening, and we should expect some photos. As a side note he mentioned there was barely any cellular coverage in Yukon Territory, contrary to Canada's claims of "total coverage"...

On The Road Again

The are back on the road as of 1154 Eastern time. Kurt messaged "We are fine and continuing the mission"
